The Agriturismo Fattoria Il Petriccio is located on the hills of Valdelsa, 2 miles from Castelfiorentino (Florence), in an area rich of history near the medieval paths of the via Francigena and close to the villages where Leonardo and Boccaccio were born. Half an hour drive from Firenze, Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano is the ideal starting point for visiting the Tuscan art cities.
In a large farmhouse are available 5 apartments, restored according to the traditional tuscan style, with terracotta floors and wooden beam ceilings, some with open fireplace, that can accommodate from 3 to 6 people for a total of 24 beds.
All apartments are totally furnished and equipped. Each of them has its own outside area with garden furniture to enjoy the quiet of the country.
In the large nearby garden a barbeque and an open arcade to eat and relax are available for our guests.
Within Fattoria Il Petriccio our guests can dispose of a private swimming pool (from May 25th to September 15th) on the backyard just a short stroll away from the properties from where there are fine views over the surrounding countryside.
The 30 ha. of the estate is used as vineyards, olive groves as well as to cultivation of sun-flowers and corn. You may also purchase delicious local products such as wine, olive oil, vinegar ("aceto balsamico") and the famous "Vin Santo" (a dessert wine) from the owners on the estate.
